Privacy and cookies

This website is run by Octalogic Tech LLP, a software engineering company with two studios in Goa, India. We decide what happens to the personal data described here.

When you visit

Our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details, as any website does, so it can deliver pages and block abuse. Our analytics count visits in aggregate and do not identify you.

The contact form

• Your name and work email.
• What you need from us.
• If you add them: your phone number, a note and a file.

Job applications

• The role, your name, email and mobile number.
• Your state, and whether you can work hours that overlap with the client’s day.
• Your CV.
• If you add them: a link to your LinkedIn or portfolio, and a note.

Booking a call

If you book a time with us, the booking is made on our calendar provider’s page, which receives your name and email.

• Enquiries: to reply to you and talk about working together. We do this because you asked us to get in touch.
• Applications: to consider you for the role you applied for. We do this with your consent, given when you send the form.
• Visits: to run the site, keep it secure and see how it is used.

When you send a form we email you once to confirm it arrived. We do not sell your data, and we do not add it to marketing lists.

Our team sees enquiries and applications. Each arrives in our email inbox and in a channel in our team messaging tool.

These services handle it for us, only to run what we describe here:

• our hosting provider, which runs the site and the forms. A file you attach is held in its private storage only until it reaches us, and anything left there is deleted within a day.
• a spam-protection check on our forms, which confirms a person is sending them
• our email delivery service, which sends your enquiry or application to us and the confirmation to you
• our email provider, which hosts our inbox
• our team messaging tool
• privacy-friendly analytics, which count visits and measure page speed

The current list of providers is available on request at info@octalogic.tech.

Some of these providers are based or store data outside India, the UK and the EU, mainly in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

• Enquiries: up to two years from your last contact with us, so we can follow up and keep business records.
• Applications and CVs: six months after the role is filled. Then we delete them.

The copies in our email and messaging tools follow the same periods. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

You can ask us to:

• see the data we hold about you, and get a copy you can take elsewhere
• correct it, or delete it
• stop or limit how we use it
• withdraw your consent for a job application at any time. This does not affect what we did before.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to a data protection authority: the Data Protection Board of India, the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office, or the authority in your EU country.

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics work without cookies.

If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

The spam-protection check runs in your browser when you use a form, to tell people from bots.

This site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date below.
